We provide supervised visitation and supervised exchange services for Domestic Relations and Child Welfare Cases in Greenville & Columbia, SC & Gastonia, NC. Our goal is to provide professional, safe, and family oriented approaches to managing supervised visitation services. We have have only Masters level or licensed mental health professionals, specific training, and memberships with Supervised Visitation Network and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
What is supervised visitation?
Supervised visitation is when counselors monitor, coach and supervise visits between biological parents and children, children and relatives, and adoptive families and children. Visitation can be observation only or can be more in depth and therapeutic. The price varies for the supervision needed and requested. Human services and mental health professionals can provide assistance with reunification, family connection goals or if court ordered. The staff encourages good parenting using proven techniques such as “Love and Logic” and “1-2-3 Magic,” as well as appropriate behavior modification strategies through positive reinforcement and natural consequences to encourage and model effective communication. When necessary, staff can guide parents in the development of safety and behavior plans.
Where are visits held?
Visits are held at a safe, neutral, and therapeutic setting in the parent’s home, community, or in our office. If visits are held in the community at an event, the visiting parent is responsible for paying the related cost for the supervisor. Additionally, visits held out in at a parent’s home or in the community are subject to a fueling fee and/or mileage reimbursement.
How long do visits last?
Supervised visitation sessions vary in length depending on the needs and wants of the family and the human services or mental health professional assigned. There typically is a minimum of 2 hours per visit. The human services or mental health professional will work directly with the family in order to meet their needs and possible time frames and duration of the visit.
What are supervised exchanges?
Supervised exchanges are exchanges of children in the presence of a human services or mental health professional; the purpose of this service is to facilitating more positive exchanges at times of visitation between parents. These services are court mandated typically, but also can be done on a voluntary basis by either parent. The exchanges would occur at an agreed place in the community or as determined by a court order. The price supervised exchanges depend on the mileage traveled to the meeting place and estimated length of exchange with a minimum of 1 hour.

We offer supervised visitations and exchanges on a flexible schedule based upon client need.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover supervised visitation services. Payment is due at least 7 days prior to scheduled day of visitation. In some instances, when there is a state action, local Department of Social Services will pay for services when court ordered.
